Begin the exercise by trotting into the bounce and cantering out. Proceed at a collected canter around the end of the ring, down the long side and through the arched canter bounce.

This exercise is set up for horses that are quick after the jump and for riders who tend to fall forward. Both bounce exercises will reinforce collection and balance. Rushed and strung out gaits will results in very tight and uncomfortable rounds through the bounces and serve as a self-reinforcing lesson for horse and rider.
